Spring wedding (March to May)
In spring, South Africa: Cape & Garden Route is a strong choice: 16 days from Cape Town to Gqeberha, wine in Franschhoek, a cruise across the Knysna lagoon at sunset and the Big Five in a reserve. The route is entirely malaria-free. Estimated price from €15,120 for the two of you. From April the season of Bali & Komodo opens too, and in March and April Costa Rica is still in its dry season.
Summer wedding (June to August)
Summer is the season for Africa and Indonesia. Tanzania safari & Zanzibar (15 days, from ± €15,680 for the two of you) falls in the dry season, when animals gather around water and are easier to spot. Bali & Komodo (16 days, from €7,340 for the two of you, incl. domestic flights) is dry and sunny. For something unusual, choose São Tomé & Príncipe (15 days, from ± €20,360 for the two of you): from July to October whales pass along the coast. In July and August Costa Rica also has a drier spell.
Autumn wedding (September to November)
September and October are still good for Bali, Tanzania and São Tomé (until September). From September South Africa is at its best again, with spring in the winelands. In November the season of Mexico – Yucatán begins: 14 days of cenotes, Maya temples and the Bacalar lagoon, from €6,460 for the two of you.
Winter wedding (December to February)
Winter couples can pick tropical sunshine. Mexico – Yucatán and Costa Rica (15 days, from €8,340 for the two of you) are in their dry season. From January to March, Sri Lanka & Maldives (15 days, from ± €18,720 for the two of you) is ideal: first rock fortresses and tea hills, then five nights in a villa above a lagoon. January and February are good safari months in Tanzania too.
Travelling outside the best months?
