My recommended route through Bali and Komodo National Park, as a fully arranged private trip. On Bali you travel with your own driver from the old city of Denpasar to the temples around Ubud, the rural east with the mother temple of Besakih and the cool northern mountains, and you sail to the quiet island of Nusa Lembongan with a trip to the cliffs and manta rays of Nusa Penida. Then you fly to Labuan Bajo on Flores: by private speedboat you climb to the view over Padar's three bays in the morning light, see Komodo dragons in the wild with a park ranger and snorkel at Pink Beach.

What I will arrange for you after launch
You travel, I arrange everything. You travel privately: no group and no fixed guide tagging along.
- Airport pickup and the transfer on your last day; the details are in the brochure.
- All hotels and guesthouses, booked in advance at the level you choose: Budget, Comfort or Premium.
- Transport on the ground with a private driver and private transfers; domestic flights or trains where that makes sense.
- The activities and entrance fees on the route. Prefer a guide? I can add a local guide to any activity.
- Breakfast, and the meals at remote places with no alternative (such as a safari lodge, desert camp or yurt camp). For the other meals I give you my restaurant recommendations, but you choose completely freely where you eat.
- A personal intake, at your home or by video.
- A WhatsApp line with me, before and during your trip, and my personal 24/7 number.
- A call-back after your trip.
- Your international flight: after launch I will also book your flight for you. Prices on the site exclude the flight.
Travel whenever you like
Your dates are completely free: there are no fixed departure dates, you leave on the day that suits you. My recommended route takes 18 days. Shorter or longer is possible too; I adapt the route.
This is advice, not a rule. If you want to travel in another month, I tell you honestly what to expect (rain, heat, crowds) and adapt the route.
Price by level and transport
You choose the level of your hotels and how you get around. Same route, same care; only the hotels and the transport differ.
Estimated prices per person, based on 2 travellers, excl. international flight. Travelling solo, count on a supplement of roughly 68%. With four travellers the price per person drops by roughly 12%.

Self-drive (not available on this route)
We do not offer self-drive on Bali. Traffic drives on the left, is busy and unpredictable with thousands of scooters, the mountain roads are narrow and steep, and in an accident the foreign driver is usually held liable. A car with driver costs barely more than a rental car, and your driver knows the back roads, the ceremonies and the best warungs. There are no cars on Nusa Lembongan. On Flores and in Komodo National Park self-drive is not an option either: there you travel with private transfers and a private boat with crew.
Private driver
On Bali you have one regular English-speaking driver with a comfortable air-conditioned car, from the airport to the boat in Sanur and again from Sanur to the airport; after Komodo he picks you up again for the last day in the south. Fuel, parking and tolls are included. He is available for up to about 10 hours a day: you stop wherever you like and on free days you simply agree what you want to do. He is a driver, not a guide. You take the fast boat to Nusa Lembongan. Between Bali and Labuan Bajo (Flores) you fly; there private transfers and a private speedboat with crew take care of the rest.

After launch I will also book your flight for you. The prices on this page exclude the international flight.
Return flight Brussels–Bali not included: allow about € 700–1,180 p.p. depending on the month (July and August are the most expensive). After launch I will find you the best flight with your proposal.

Travelling responsibly
We choose small, locally run accommodation in Sidemen, Munduk, Lembongan and Labuan Bajo, work with local drivers, families (cooking, weaving) and a local boat crew so income stays in the community, and avoid the most crowded Instagram spots where possible. In Komodo National Park we follow the daily quotas and park rules: always with a ranger, take nothing and leave nothing, no standing on coral, no anchoring on the reef. Low-plastic travel with water refills in the car and on the boat; respect for temple dress and ceremonies. The Bali tourist levy supports culture and environment projects on the island.
