What's included?
- All nights in carefully chosen stays, arranged in advance
- Transport on the ground on the route: self-drive, your own driver or a safari guide, depending on the route
- The activities and entrance fees on the route
- The romantic moments, such as a catamaran at sunset on the Bacalar lagoon or dinner in the bush under the Serengeti stars
- Breakfast, and on some routes more: full board on safari in Tanzania, half board on Zanzibar and in the Maldives
- Pickup on arrival and the transfer on your last day
- My number, always at hand, before and during the trip
What's not included?
The international flight is not in the price. Your proposal shows roughly what it costs for your dates; I'm happy to book it for you, or you book it yourself. Also not included: a visa where needed, tips, your own travel insurance and drinks not included in the stay.
Why does one route cost more than another?
Three things drive the price. First transport: self-drive is cheaper than a driver, and a safari with your own Land Cruiser and guide costs more. Then the stays: a villa above a lagoon or a tented lodge in the Serengeti costs more than a boutique hotel in Valladolid. And finally fixed costs, such as park fees in Tanzania or domestic flights to Príncipe and Malé.
Can it be cheaper?
Yes. Every route is a starting point. Travelling a few days shorter, driving yourself where possible or choosing a quieter season all lower the price. Tell us your budget and we'll shape the route around it.
